Sensory Impaired Dogs Need A Little Extra Skilled Support.
To live and work with dogs, knowledge is power and none more than deaf dogs or blind dogs. Dogs with sensory impairment need a slightly different approach from their guardians and coaches. They can, however, live long and happy lives in an understanding home. In addition, dogs who become deaf and/or blind in old age will also show some specific signals of their experience.
This course is designed for dog guardians and those who support guardians with their dogs, such as carers and coaches. This canine sensory awareness course begins with a veterinary written scientific overview for the causes of sensory impairment in dogs, introduces life skills for people involved in the dog's care, and concludes with a confidence test before your certificates are delivered.
This is a course with subtitled workshops and a printable PDF to cover all learning styles.
